As I was packing up my house for a move, I came across this box:
And inside revealed my wedding dress from over 6 years ago, packed away in what I refer to as a dress coffin. I’m sure the wedding dress preservation company just loves this term
.
The only downside to how it’s displayed is that the best part of the dress design is hidden (the back was really fabulous), and the only way to see if again is to open up the box, ruining the preservation.
Not quite sure what I’m talking about or why I’d bother to do this to my wedding gown? Check out this article about gown preservation to learn more about the process and benefits.
And many bridal salons offer a discount to preserve your gown after the wedding day, which often times includes professional cleaning (because the bottom of your dress won’t exactly be pristine after a night of partying!)
Hmm, I wonder if I’ll ever crack open this box?
