Anne and Chris were married 9.17.11 in the historic Saint Anthony Main neighborhood in Minneapolis. They chose to hold their ceremony at the Stone Arch Theatre, followed by the reception at Vic’s Restaurant.
Rewind a little over 10 years ago (yikes), Anne, Chris and I were in high school together! Anne and I grew up dancing together at the same local studio, and Anne and Chris hung out in the same group of friends but never dated. Fast forward a few years and they reunited, dated, followed each other around the country and finally decided to tie the knot! I was so excited and honored when they contacted me to work with them on their wedding. And I must say, Chris is one of the most involved grooms I’ve come across he was so on top of the details! (sorry guys, but this is rare!). After months of long-distance planning (and surviving hurricane season at their home on the beach!), Anne and Chris travelled home to Minnie for their wedding weekend on the Minneapolis riverfront. The historic and picturesque neighborhood of St. Anthony Main has such a great ambiance a great date night spot, so even better for a wedding.
Family and friends joined them for the ceremony at the Stone Arch Theatre in Theatre 1 (yep, a movie theater!) and witnessed Chris’s reaction as he saw his bride for the first time (check out the pre-ceremony photo of the couple). Anne’s family’s pastor officiated the ceremony in front of a small group of guests, and captured the post-nuptials with a photo of everyone and the bridal party (this is the first I’ve seen this done and it’s really a GREAT idea!).

Immediately following the ceremony, the bridal party snapped a few shots around the river front while the cocktail hour kicked off at Vic’s Restaurant. It was a great fall evening for drinks and hors d’oeuvres out on the patio (we love our outdoor patio’s in Minnesota!). Fabulous food, family and fun, as well as some of the most heartfelt speeches by Anne and Chris’s family and friends. We all felt the love!
